Mi 10 Launched in India: Finally a long awaited flagship after Mi 5.

Xiaomi has been teasing 108MP camera phones coming soon in India since November, and while the device was set to launch back in March/April the launch was rolled back and soon was canceled due to the lockdown situation in India for obvious reasons. Mi 10 is the most anticipated device in India since it was launched globally and also because of the last flagship.

Mi 10 Summary:
The Mi 10 has a hole-punch display, a quad-camera setup at the back, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. It features a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,340 pixels) curved AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate along with a 180Hz touch sampling rate. The device is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 865 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage. It runs on MIUI 11 which is based on Android 10.
As mentioned, the Mi 10 has a quad rear camera setup with a 108-megapixel primary sensor. It is accompanied by a 13-megapixel wide-angle lens, and two 2-megapixel cameras. The smartphone also comes with a 20-megapixel selfie camera with support for face unlock. Powering it up is a 4,780mAh battery that supports 30W wired charging, 30W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
Mi 10 Display:
Xiaomi’s new flagship Mi 10 is featured with a 6.67-inch Full HD+ 3D curved E3 AMOLED display making it one of the greatest devices for single-hand usage. It has a 19:5:9 aspect ratio, offering a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels at a pixel density of 403ppi. It has an excellent 90Hz Refresh Rate with 180Hz touch sampling rate which gives the smoothest MIUI 11 experience, scrolling, and navigation. Mi 10 has 1120nit (HBM) / 800nit brightness, 5000000:1 (Min) contrast ratio, and DCI-P3 Wide Color Gamut. It also supports HDR10+ which makes the compatible videos or movies more realistic. This device has True Color Display with a Just Noticeable Color Difference (JNCD)<0.55 as compared to iPhone 11 Pro Max with JNCD<0.8. Lower the score, better is the color accuracy and that’s why Mi 10 has industry’s most color accurate and brightest display. Moreover, its in-screen AMOLED light sensor automatically adjusts brightness in sunlight.
Mi 10 is curved at the edges with a Micro-Dot Display Selfie camera at the top left corner. Moreover, it features Gorilla Glass 6 Protection and Water-Resistant Coating but has no official IP rating. The screen is also embedded with an In-screen fingerprint scanner.

Known for its powerful hardware and performance this time also the Mi 10 has been consistent in offering top-notch performance, thanks to Snapdragon 865 which is based on 7 nm process technology and it’s Adreno 650 GPU that delivers ultimate performance while consuming less battery, making it the most powerful and most efficient till date on the Android side of things. As it comes with a built-in X55 5G modem that essentially means, at its core, it will perform the same in terms of brainpower and cellular download speeds. Although we don’t have 5G networks in India right now, you can still consider buying the Mi 10 for what it offers at this price and also making it a future proof device.
Since this device comes with the latest Snapdragon mobile platform, you will be glad to know that with Snapdragon 865, Qualcomm has also made the GPU driver updates user upgradable. On the software side, Mi 10 comes with MIUI 11 out of the box which is built on top of the latest Android 10.
